Joe Val 2011 Preview

Its time for a break from this ice and snow, I've had enough. Luckily, the 26th. Annual Joe Val Bluegrass Festival is right around the corner, it starts on February 18, and runs through the 20th at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel in Framingham, Massachusetts. This is one Festival you don't want to miss, it has so much to offer. At least twenty bands on the main stage and many more performing at the showcase stage. They have fifty workshops scheduled to take place over Saturday and Sunday, several Master Classes on Friday and the Joe Val Kids Academy over the two day period. Vendors of musical instruments number about twenty and pickin hours are as long as you want them to be. There are a couple of good restaurants close to the main ballroom and usually a caterer sets up near the ballroom with sandwiches and snacks. This is a must do event for me, its always a great time. Tickets are still available online at the BBU website

Gerry Katz and his colleague Stan Zdonick have put together a fine team of volunteers to keep everything running smoothly and on time over the course of the weekend. I'm looking forward to an exciting three days that will leave me wanting more.

Harry Grant provides the excellent sound service that the entertainers always rave about, it will be good to see Harry again.
